Fair Food Futures UK photo exhibition
Darley Street Market

Fair Food Futures UK brings together powerful photographs and stories shared by families with children living in Tower Hamlets, London, and Bradford, exploring how communities are responding to the challenges of accessing food and support. Forty families have shared their stories through interviews, photography and video, offering unique insights into how people navigate food insecurity and community support.
The Fair Food Futures UK exhibition is free and runs from 29 October 2025 until 21 February 2026, Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm at the 1st floor of Darley Street Market.

Care to Share: Creative Health Micro Awards

Bradford 2025 are excited to share with you their Care to Share sessions – designed and delivered by the Bradford 2025 Creative Health Community of Practice, and the Round 2 call out for further applications to contribute to the Care to Share programme.
As part of our commitment to peer learning and practitioner development, the Bradford 2025 Creative Health Community of Practice is offering micro awards to support the delivery of skill share sessions. These sessions are a space for members to share tools, methods and ideas that support and inspire Creative Health practice across the district. Sessions should be welcoming, informal and participatory – supporting others in the network to build confidence, try new approaches or reflect on the way they work
There are 3 more micro-awards of up to £300 to be awarded to deliver peer to peer skills sharing sessions between December 2025 and January 2026. Care to Share sessions are delivered by the appointed artists and creatives. All sessions are free to attend.

Care to Share: Creative Evaluation Methods

Delivered by Jess Shaw. In her Creative Evaluation Methods session, Jess will share with you useful skills with practical application. You will learn more about designing evaluations which are engaging, collaborative, participatory, inclusive, and creative. This session will draw from Jess’ experience and resources and showcase how Creative Evaluation approaches can produce important benefits for organisations, teams, and individuals engaging in evaluative practice. In this participatory workshop, we will cover the basics of evaluation, try out and discuss creative methodologies which can be embedded into your practice, and look at tools and resources which can help you.

Freelance Metadata Enhancement Consultant

Bradford District Museums & Galleries is seeking a freelance consultant to enhance metadata for selected collections to improve searchability, relevance, and public access. This work supports BDMG’s wider digital strategy and contributes to sector-wide visibility, ensuring enhanced data is structured for future sharing with public-facing platforms and partners.
The consultancy offers an opportunity to pilot scalable workflows, build internal capacity, and lay the groundwork for future digitisation and documentation phases.

Commission Programme for Disabled Artists with mentorship and support from artist Jason Wilsher-Mills
National Coal Mining Museum
Location: Wakefield
Deadline: 5:00 PM on Fri 5 December
Open to disabled artists based in or connected to former coalfield communities across the UK.
Running January – August 2026, this programme offers disabled artists the chance to create new commissioned artwork for the National Coal Mining Museum for England, supported by artist mentor Jason Wilsher-Mills. Artists will collaborate with communities to explore what culture means locally, resulting in creative outputs inspired by these conversations. Your work will be exhibited at the Museum in Wakefield and/or touring partner or community venues, with potential for digital display alongside Jason’s major new exhibition.
3 micro commissions available.
Each commission: £2,000 fee + £500 materials + up to £600 access support.
Freelance opportunity
Digital Collections Development Consultant
Bradford District Museums & Galleries
Location: Bradford

Bradford District Museums & Galleries is looking for a consultant to help shape a practical, forward-looking strategy for managing and sharing their collections digitally. This work will feed into BDMG’s digital strategy, and help make informed decisions about future systems, staffing, and public access.
The ideal candidate has experience in digital collections work in museums or heritage settings and familiarity with CMS systems and public access platforms; they are someone who is collaborative, thoughtful, and able to turn complex ideas into clear, actionable recommendations.
Fee: £8,000 (fixed fee, inclusive of expenses)
Timeline: December 2025 – April 2026

Care to Share: Black Out Poetry

Location: Bradford 2025 Office, 1A Aldermanbury BD1 1SD
Date: 5:30 PM on Wed 10 December
Delivered by Angelica Craighan. You will learn the creative practice of ‘black out poetry’ accompanied by creative collage activities. In this session, you will explore creative expression utilising this technique, and Angelica will share with you some personal examples of barriers that this technique has helped her to overcome. This session will also include considerations of how this technique can be adapted for participants with dyslexia, low reading confidence, or for whom English is not a first language.

Blaise Wool Festival 2026 stallholder applications
Location: Bradford Industrial Museum, 235 Moorside Rd BD2 3HP
Deadline: 11:59 PM on Fri 19 December
Blaise Wool Festival 2026 is an annual celebration of Bradford's wool industry and heritage, held at Bradford Industrial Museum. This year, the festival takes place on Sun 1 February 2026, opening to the public from 10am until 4pm. They are actively looking for stall holders, particularly selling wool and textile products, crafts, clothing, and materials, as well as food and drink vendors.
Stall fees:
Inside stalls and drinks vans are charged at £50.
Catering van pitches are charged at £70
Successful applicants will receive a letter of confirmation of their stall by Fri 9 January 2026.

Volunteering / unpaid opportunity
Trustee – Treasurer
Bradford Arts Centre
Location: Bradford / Remote

Bradford Arts Centre is looking for an exceptional individual who is a Qualified Accountant and who is passionate about arts and culture to be the Treasurer of its Board of Trustees.
Trustees are expected to attend a minimum of four in-person Board meetings a year – with further meetings and informal discussions as required; represent Bradford Arts Centre at external events; and attend at least one performance at the venue each season. This role is not paid, but they cover any expenses that you might incur whilst delivering your responsibilities (including lost income for joining meetings).
Prior experience of being part of a Board is not required.
